Two open training programmes for museum professionals, cultural educators and accessibility practitioners — co-designed by the SenseMuse consortium and offered free of charge, as part of the EU – Funded project

Based on Freeman Tilden’s six principles of heritage interpretation, the Masterclass trains professionals to make collections speak — engage visitors emotionally, intellectually and across the senses. Four live online sessions with four applied exercises supported by digital applications like CANVA, MIRO, or FIGMA:

A practical programme in Universal Design for cultural settings covering key areas of accessibility, including accommodations for visitors who are hard of hearing or deaf, those with visual impairments or blindness, individuals with intellectual disabilities, those with mobility impairments, and visitors with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The Modules address specific needs, including captioning and sign language for deaf visitors, audio descriptions and tactile aids for visually impaired guests, simplified content for intellectual disabilities, mobility-friendly infrastructure, and sensory accommodations for autistic visitors.

Museums, foundations, accessibility organisations, cultural networks and adult-education providers are welcome to take part — as trainees, as host venues for Cultural Services, or as endorsers of the Manifesto for Accessible Culture we will publish at the end of the year.

There is no fee. All training materials, recorded sessions and methodological tools are released as Open Educational Resources, free to use, adapt and share with attribution.
